For us motorhome wild camping is free overnight parking in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nature. Durham countryside just on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and about half a mile from the banks of the River Tees.

Gregs Hut Haughton Green and on the Border ridge The Cheviots provide some of the best wild pitches just off the main Pennine Way. All was well and nice and tidy. Strawberry Hill Farm Camping and Caravan Park Old Cassop Durham County Durham. Of all of Englands National Trails the Pennine Way is the best for wild camping.

I am new to motorhomes and wild camping with a motorhome and I suspect it will bring some new challenges. Great camp with a bit of snow for good measure. The closest shop is in Middleton which is 7 miles away. Wild camping in England isnt legal wthout explicit permission from the landowner. Camping can be a great way to save money while youre on the Pennine Way.

The North Pennines is a range of hills that spreads just west of the River Eden near Carlisle in the north diagonally down towards the Yorkshire Dales. I am new to motorhomes and wild camping with a motorhome and I suspect it will bring some new challenges. The Kielder Forest area has some designated wild camping sites close to the Pennine Way although some of these arent too pretty - and there are bothies at High Withens well sort of. Camping can be a great way to save money while youre on the Pennine Way. Sayer hill Wild Camping has 1198 members.
